Golf clubs, most dating back to the late 19th century, range from nine hole heathland and heather courses to 18 hole links and parkland courses. All are set in spectacular scenery and present their own particular golfing challenges. Members and visitors are always assured a warm welcome on what are considered to be among the best golf courses anywhere in the UK.
Designed by three local enthusiasts and opened in 1988, the team behind Durness Golf Club are very proud of their unique course and want to share it with the world!
As Lybster Golf Club is one of the (if not the) shortest 9 hole courses in Scotland it is very popular with a wide range of golfers of varying age groups and abilities. A warm welcome, and a golfing challenge, awaits you at Lybster Golf Club.
Founded in 1893, Reay Golf Club has seen many changes over the years and remains to this day a true links course run by the community, for the community.
At 58.58º N, Thurso Golf Club founded in 1893, is the most Northerly Golf course on the UK mainland. The tree lined parkland course offers golfers of all abilities an excellent challenge. There are lush fairways, generous well manicured greens as well as some beautiful whin bushes. The course also boasts magnificent views of the islands as well as the surrounding countryside and hills.
